Pastor Dr. Donald G. King was born of Jamaican parents and grew up in New York City and Jamaica, West Indies. Most recently

he served as pastor of the North Georgia Romanian SDA Church for five years and six months. During this time,

along with the local church leaders, the Lord led him to achieve major financial blessings as a whole. Pastor King is also

proud of his record in working especially among the youth, along with adults, to achieve organizational stability, growth,

and the promotion of loving God and all His children. Pastor King has served the Seventh-day Adventist Church (SDA)

for over 45 years as an ordained minister, departmental director, local conference secretary, union secretary,
president of Northeastern Conference, and the longest serving union president for approximately 15 years at the

Atlantic Union Conference of Seventh-day Adventists in the Northeast United States. Dr. King is educated in

theology as a baccalaureate graduate of Northern Caribbean University and holds a Master’s degree in Christian

Theology from Andrews University. He also attended Loma Linda University where he received a Masters and

earned a Doctorate in public health education. He served in the health department of the General Conference World

Headquarters of Seventh-day Adventists andalso as the founder and president of Atlantic Union Adventist Media

(AUAM); and NETS Evangelism Center (Northeast Training School).


Of special note, in 2013, Pastor King chaired the NY13 Evangelistic Initiative team in New York City – the largest
Adventist evangelistic project ever conducted in the city. As a result, 63 new church companies were birthed and
nearly 5,300 persons accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and were baptized into the Seventh-day
Adventist Church. It was also during this momentous year that the NETS Evangelism Center had its first graduation
of 11 students.


Above all, Pastor Dr. King loves to proclaim his love for Jesus as the only Way, Truth and Life and to help others to see God’s grace in their own lives through the power of the gospel. He is married for 50 years (this year) to Dr. Lois King, a native of Trinidad and Tobago. The Kings have two married sons and three grandchildren.

Dr. Lois King has served as an ordained local church elder, leader and educator for over 40 years. She served as director of Women’s Ministries and Ministerial Spouses Association for the Atlantic Union Conference of Seventh-day Adventists. She also served as an assistant director and registrar for marketing at NETS Evangelism Center, Atlantic Union Conference. She served as an assistant vice president for marketing, and adjunct professor at Atlantic Union College located in Massachusetts. Served as lecturer at Burman University in Alberta, Canada. She also served as the first female director of the Sabbath School and Religious Liberty Departments for the Northeastern Conference of Seventh-day Adventists in New York City.

 

Dr. King was born in Trinidad and Tobago. She is a graduate of Caribbean Union College (now University of the Southern Caribbean) located

in Trinidad. She also graduated from La Sierra University (Calf) with a Bachelor’s degree, a Master’s degree in Family Life from Loma Linda University, and earned a PhD in Higher Education Leadership from Touro University (Calf). Dr. King is a Certified Family Life Educator by the National Council on Family Relations. Dr. King has authored several articles and is a motivational speaker who conducts seminars and lectures in the fields of family life, couples retreats, and premarital counseling. She also conducted a segment on family relations on a local television station in New York City to point listeners to Jesus Christ and His healing grace. The Kings have two married sons: Louie who is married to Elisa; and Marvin who is married to Shanthi and who together have an 8-year old son, Maxwell and 5-year old twin girls, Asha and Elle.
